"That Travelling Two Beat" was released by Capitol Records in 1965, but was recorded in August and December of 1964. This album, is a follow up to the 1958 Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney album, "Fancy Meeting You Here". Again, with a kind of travelling theme. Bing and Rosie are here once again with arranger/conducter Billy May, with his orchestra. The album is very enjoyable, and is complete here on the first half of this disc.
"Bing Crosby Sings The Great Country Hits" was, like the album mentioned above, also released by Capitol Records in 1965. Although these recordings took place in October of 1963. As you may have guessed by the title, this album is Country songs. This is not one of Bing's best albums, but it remains enjoyable. Actually, Bing is not in great voice here. He had a cold during the time these recordings took place, so obviously, that alone lets this one down a little.
I think overall, there are better Crosby albums, obviously, but the two featured here are definately worth getting. I am very greatful that they have came to CD, together on one disc even. The sound quality is very good. This is Highly Recommended for fans of Bing Crosby, and since the first album is with Rosemary Clooney, her fans will enjoy it too. Too be honest, everything Bing recorded is essential to own, atleast to me.
